The Gold Dot bullet is built using Speer's Uni-Cor bonding process, which electrochemically bonds the jacket to the lead core one molecule at a time. This prevents core-jacket separation on impact, ensuring consistent expansion and deep penetration through intermediate barriers like heavy clothing and drywall. The 115-grain loading balances manageable recoil with reliable cycling in full-size and compact 9mm pistols.
