AAC ILLUSION 9 Piston 1/2x28 – Nielsen Device for 9mm Suppressors

The AAC ILLUSION 9 Piston with 1/2x28 threading is a Nielsen device (booster) designed to enable reliable cycling on tilting-barrel pistols when using the ILLUSION 9 suppressor. This piston allows the barrel to recoil independently of the suppressor, maintaining proper semi-automatic function that would otherwise be disrupted by the added mass of a can. Without a properly functioning booster assembly, most browning-style pistols will fail to cycle when suppressed.

This piston installs into the rear of the ILLUSION 9 suppressor and threads directly onto barrels with 1/2x28 threads, the most common pitch for 9mm pistol barrels. The hardened steel construction withstands repeated cycling and gas pressure. Thread the piston hand-tight onto a clean barrel, then attach the suppressor body to complete the booster assembly. Verify proper headspacing and function before live fire.
