Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black is a room-temperature chemical blackening solution that restores the finish on aluminum firearms and accessories. Unlike paint or spray finishes, this penetrating formula reacts with aluminum to create a durable black oxide surface that resists chipping and peeling. Ideal for touching up worn areas on aluminum receivers, handguards, and scope rings without the need for heat or professional equipment.

Apply directly to clean, degreased aluminum surfaces with the included applicator. Works on aluminum alloys commonly used in AR-15 uppers, 1911 frames, and rimfire receivers. Not suitable for anodized finishes or steel parts. Each 3oz bottle covers approximately 15-20 square feet depending on surface texture and desired depth of color.
