It chemically bonds to properly cleaned and degreased steel surfaces, restoring bluing on worn spots, handling marks, or scratches. This is not a hot-tank blue—it's a room-temperature chemical application designed for small repairs and refinishing work, not complete rebluing jobs.

The 3oz bottle includes an applicator swab for precise control. Works on carbon steel and alloy steel surfaces. Surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned with a degreaser and prepped with Birchwood Casey Blue & Rust Remover or similar cleaner before application for proper adhesion. Not compatible with stainless steel or aluminum.
