The Battle Arms Development CAST Bolt Catch replaces the standard AR-15 bolt catch with an enlarged, scalloped paddle that provides a larger surface area for faster bolt release and more positive engagement. This drop-in upgrade addresses the common issue of fumbling for the small mil-spec paddle during reloads or malfunction clearances, particularly when wearing gloves or under stress.

Machined from steel with a corrosion-resistant finish, the CAST bolt catch installs using the factory bolt catch roll pin—no gunsmithing or permanent modifications required. The larger paddle extends beyond the receiver profile for easier access without interfering with ambidextrous controls or magazine insertion. Installation follows standard AR-15 lower receiver assembly procedures.
