The Battle Arms Development WORKHORSE 5.56 NATO upper receiver assembly delivers a no-frills, combat-ready configuration for AR-15 pattern lowers. Built around a 16-inch barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO, this complete upper requires only the addition of a bolt carrier group and charging handle to function. The mil-spec profile and carbine-length gas system provide reliable cycling with standard ammunition.

This upper features a forged aluminum receiver with Type III hard anodized black finish for corrosion resistance. The free-float handguard allows mounting of accessories via M-LOK slots while maintaining zero shift under use. Ships as a complete assembly with barrel, gas system, muzzle device, and handguard installed. Installation requires standard AR-15 tools and basic armorer knowledge—upper attaches to any mil-spec AR-15 lower receiver via takedown pins.
