The Colt M4 Upper Receiver is a factory-produced 5.56 NATO upper assembly designed for AR-15 platform lowers. This complete upper features Colt's proven M4 configuration with a 16-inch chrome-lined barrel, carbine-length gas system, and standard M4 feed ramps. Built to military specifications, it delivers the reliability Colt is known for in a civilian-legal configuration.

The upper is manufactured from 7075-T6 aluminum with a black anodized finish. It includes the barrel, front sight assembly, handguards, charging handle, and bolt carrier group. The flattop receiver accepts standard Picatinny rail-mounted optics and rear sights. Installation requires only basic armorer tools and fits mil-spec AR-15 lower receivers.
