The Daniel Defense M4V7 LW is a complete upper receiver assembly chambered in 5.56 NATO, featuring a 16-inch lightweight profile barrel and compatible with mil-spec AR-15 lower receivers. This configuration balances maneuverability with effective range, built around Daniel Defense's proven cold hammer-forged barrel and free-floating M-LOK handguard for accessories mounting without added weight on the barrel.

The upper receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish in black. This assembly includes the bolt carrier group and charging handle, making it ready to mate with your AR-15 lower. The M4V7 LW handguard provides M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions while maintaining a slim profile. Installation requires no gunsmithing—simply attach to a mil-spec lower receiver and verify headspace as with any upper/lower combination.
