The Faxon Big Gunner .308 Winchester barrel delivers reliable accuracy and durability for AR-10 builds where weight savings matter without sacrificing performance. This 16-inch barrel features a medium-heavy profile designed to balance rigidity with reduced overall rifle weight, making it suitable for both hunting applications and precision shooting at moderate ranges. The Big Gunner contour provides enough material at the gas block journal for solid lockup while keeping the profile manageable for extended carry.

Manufactured from 4150 Chromoly steel with a QPQ nitride finish, this barrel resists corrosion and throat erosion under sustained fire. The 1:10 twist stabilizes common .308 projectiles from 150 to 180 grains. Thread pitch is 5/8x24 for standard .308 muzzle devices. Compatible with DPMS-pattern AR-10 receivers and accepts standard .750" gas blocks. Headspaced and test-fired at the factory. Mid-length gas system provides reliable cycling with reduced felt recoil compared to carbine-length systems.
