This Hoppe's phosphor bronze brush is designed specifically for .40 S&W and 10mm pistol barrels. The phosphor bronze bristles are soft enough to avoid damaging rifling while being stiff enough to scrub out powder residue, carbon buildup, and copper fouling that solvent alone won't remove. Phosphor bronze is non-sparking and won't scratch or wear barrel steel.

The brush features a standard 8-32 thread that fits most pistol cleaning rods. Regular use between range sessions keeps accuracy consistent by maintaining a clean bore. Replace the brush when bristles become bent or worn—typically after 15-20 cleaning sessions depending on round count and fouling levels.
