Its prong-based design disrupts and cools combusting gases at the muzzle, minimizing the bright flash that can compromise night vision or reveal position in tactical situations. The Lamprey delivers flash suppression without the bulk or weight of larger three-prong designs.

Machined from heat-treated steel with a durable phosphate black finish, the Lamprey installs on standard 1/2x28 threaded barrels common to 5.56 NATO/.223 Remington AR-15 platforms. The extended length provides enhanced flash mitigation compared to standard A2-style flash hiders. A crush washer is typically required for proper timing and installation (not included).
