The LanTac RPS (Ratchet Plate System) End Plate & Castle Nut replaces the standard AR-pattern buffer tube retention components with a tool-free, anti-rotation system. Designed for shooters who frequently change stocks or need a secure, repeatable lockup without staking, the RPS uses an integrated ratchet mechanism that locks the castle nut in place without requiring a wrench or punch. This eliminates the need for traditional staking while maintaining a positive, zero-movement connection between the lower receiver and buffer tube.

Machined from steel with a manganese phosphate finish for corrosion resistance, the RPS installs without specialized tools—finger-tight engagement is sufficient, though an armorer's wrench can be used for initial setup.
