The Magpul Original Mag Assist is a simple rubber loop that attaches to the baseplate of 7.62×51mm magazines to provide a positive gripping surface for faster reloads and malfunction clearing. Designed for high-capacity rifle magazines where added grip surface helps with magazine manipulation, especially when wearing gloves or working in wet conditions. Each assist loop slides over the magazine baseplate and sits flush until needed.

Constructed from durable synthetic rubber that resists oils, solvents, and temperature extremes. The low-profile design adds minimal bulk while providing significant tactile advantage during magazine changes. Installation is tool-free—simply stretch the loop over the magazine baseplate.
