The Bushnell R7 1-8x24 is a second focal plane (SFP) riflescope designed for close to mid-range shooting applications. The fiber optic illumination system provides battery-free daytime brightness adjustment, relying on ambient light to energize the reticle. The 1-8x magnification range makes it suitable for AR-15 platforms, modern sporting rifles, and hunting rifles where quick target acquisition at low power and precision at higher magnification are both needed. The 24mm objective keeps the overall profile compact while delivering adequate light transmission for typical field use.

The scope features a MOA-based reticle with holdover marks for ranging and compensation. Since this is a second focal plane design, the reticle subtensions are only accurate at maximum magnification (8x). Construction is aluminum with a matte black anodized finish.
