The Sons of Liberty Gun Works L89 BS V2 is a complete 5.56 NATO upper receiver built around a 13.7-inch barrel with a pinned and welded NOX muzzle device to achieve the legal 16-inch minimum barrel length. This configuration delivers a compact, maneuverable carbine that meets federal requirements without requiring an NFA tax stamp. The upper fits standard mil-spec AR-15 lower receivers and is designed for shooters who prioritize both portability and compliance.

The upper features a mid-length gas system for reliable cycling and reduced recoil impulse. The barrel is chambered in 5.56 NATO with a .223 Wylde chamber for accuracy with both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. SOLGW's BS (Bomber Short) handguard provides a full-length M-LOK mounting surface while maintaining a low profile. The upper receiver and barrel extension are finished in black. Ships as a complete upper assembly ready to install on your lower receiver—no gunsmithing required. Does not include bolt carrier group or charging handle unless otherwise specified in variant options.
