This extended latch provides a larger contact surface for easier charging handle manipulation, especially when wearing gloves or operating under stress. Shooters who run optics with large objective lenses or prefer support-hand charging will appreciate the added leverage and accessibility.

Machined from steel with a black oxide finish for corrosion resistance. Installation requires removing the factory latch roll pin and installing the extended latch in its place—basic gunsmithing skills and a roll pin punch set are recommended. Compatible with mil-spec AR charging handles that use a standard latch retention system.
