The Sylvan Arms AR Folding Stock Adapter Gen 5 enables AR-15 and AR-10 rifles to fold for compact storage and transport without removing the buffer tube. Designed specifically for left-handed shooters, this adapter places the folding hinge on the left side of the receiver, allowing the rifle to fold to the left for easier carry and vehicle storage. Ideal for shooters who need to reduce overall length for transport cases, vehicle racks, or backpack carry while maintaining quick deployment capability.

Constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-anodized finish for corrosion resistance and durability. Installation requires removal of the existing castle nut and buffer tube, then mounting the adapter between the lower receiver and buffer tube—no permanent modifications to the firearm. The Gen 5 design features an updated locking mechanism for secure lockup in both folded and extended positions. Note: The firearm cannot be fired while folded. This is a mechanical safety feature, not a defect.
