VLTOR A5 Receiver Extension Tube – AR-15 Carbine Buffer System

The VLTOR A5 Receiver Extension Tube bridges the gap between carbine and rifle-length buffer systems, delivering smoother cycling and improved recoil impulse on AR-15 platforms. The extended 0.75-inch length over standard carbine tubes allows use of the A5 buffer system, which reduces carrier bounce and provides more consistent bolt lockup—particularly beneficial for suppressed rifles or short-barreled configurations where gas impulse can cause premature unlocking.

Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a mil-spec hard anodized finish, this receiver extension maintains compatibility with standard carbine stocks while accepting the longer A5 buffer and rifle-length action spring. The tube features proper staking holes and castle nut threads. Installation follows standard AR-15 lower receiver procedures. Note: Requires A5 buffer (not included) and rifle-length buffer spring for proper function.
