VLTOR RCVR-EXT AR-10/A5 Receiver Extension – 6-Position Rifle Buffer Tube

The VLTOR RCVR-EXT AR-10/A5 receiver extension brings AR-15 A5 buffer system compatibility to large-frame AR-10 and .308 platforms. This extended-length buffer tube provides additional positions for length of pull adjustment and allows shooters to run the proven A5 recoil system on their .308 AR rifles, improving recoil impulse management and carrier timing compared to standard carbine extensions.

Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish, this receiver extension features a 6-position design with integrated QD sling swivel mounting points at the rear. The A5-length design creates additional buffer travel space, which can reduce felt recoil and bolt carrier group bounce, particularly beneficial for tuning large-frame ARs with adjustable gas blocks or suppressed configurations. Compatible with standard AR-10/SR-25 pattern lower receivers. Requires A5 buffer and rifle-length action spring (not included).
